The Gardens

co·a·lesce /ˌkōəˈles/
To combine or bring together,  f
rom Latin coalescere ‘grow together’, from co- (from cum ‘with’) + alescere ‘grow up’ (from alere ‘nourish’).

To grow together, to grow up, to nourish. That's how the name Coalesce came to be. Hoping that in these gardens we find community and grow together. That ourselves, our children, and our plants continue to grow in health. And to nourish ourselves, our soil and our community through the work we do everyday.

Coalesce also felt like the natural way to describe the way that all of my different paths led me to this mission, this passion, this land, this life.

Since 2020, we have worked to transform our land garden after garden, planting distinctive perennials, annuals, bulbs, tubers, shrubs, trees, and native praries. We will continue to work to help our soil and our natural environment and will bring you long for the ride in this section with a blog documenting the journey of our gardens coming soon!

Over 80% of U.S. cut flowers are imported, often grown using pesticides and chemicals, packaged, transported and displayed within synthetic materials, flown thousands of miles in refrigerated planes, in turn generating high carbon emissions and resulting in massive amounts of waste.  Although the floral industry began as an one rooted in its admiration for nature it has quickly become one that is contributing to nature’s ruin.

Your bouquets are wrapped in recyclable material and we grow most of your flowers ourselves, if we can’t provide a certain bloom we will only source flowers from trusted local flower farms. We are so grateful for the community of growers whose collaborative efforts enable us to provide you with local blooms. For this reason, our wedding season is in fact seasonal, running from late March into early November. This allows us to plant out our gardens intentionally for our clients each season, which makes every arrangement feel extra special as the flowers you carry with you on your magical day have been tended and nurtured from seed to bloom. We hope you feel that intent and love in your flowers.
